It teaches children self-discovery through adventures in books. Though the Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader 2011 film , assumes that everybody who watch the movie have also read the book. Therefore, they skimmed out on some crucial information that is important to the audience watching the film.
For example, the ending was a bit confusing. You can interpret the place as the edge of the world and on the other side is Aslan's country. Aslan's country can be interpreted as heaven, where Aslan is god. The whole movie is not as straight-forward as one would think.
