Megamind

Megamind is a mediocre animated comedy by Dreamworks Animation in an attempt to beat Pixar. It is a film about two intergalactic space aliens who arrived on Earth. Megamind became the villain at first and Metroman became the hero at first. The two would fight over and over again. The beginning of the film is like a repeat of all superhero movies. The film is hilarious, but it is also boring at some places.

The film may have a twist at the end with the villain as the hero, but the film can be cut to 75 minutes long. This film is not Dreamworks' best work. My favorite Dreamworks film is Shrek and Kung Fu Panda. They show originality in both humor and story. That is what Megamind lacks.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Roderick Rules

Diary of a Wimpy Kid : Roderick Rules is a film about two brothers. The film picks up where the first film ended. Even though the film does not have any more original humor, it is entertaining to see a high school student and a middle school student work together.

Roderick has always been a pain to Greg Heffley. When their overly protective mother comes up with the money solution, the two get along better because they can exchange Mombucks for real bucks. However, it was when Greg and Roderick hosted an illegal party while their parents were away that the two started to get along. They wanted to be allies to make sure the party remains a secret so they do not get in trouble.

The film brings a hilarious family comedy that everybody in the family can relate to. It is filled with young middle school romance, brotherly love, and weird classmates.
